Andy Bala
CEO & Director
Andy has over 40 years of experience in the medical device field as an entrepreneur, executive director, and advisor. He has founded several successful companies, developed innovative surgical products, and established strategic distribution channels in the U.S. and worldwide.
In 1986, Andy launched ABS Med Inc., which he built into a leading micro-surgical device distribution company before selling in 2017. In 1993, Andy began Armatec Medical, a specialized surgical microscopy products business, where he developed multiple products and received two patents. He established worldwide distribution and sold Armatec Medical in 2007. He also founded Specialty Medical Solutions, LLC, a consulting company focused on product development, manufacturing, and distribution.
Andy has served as a board member and field advisory board member for multiple companies in the surgical arena.
Michael Ferreira
US Director of Sales
Michael has worked with Alliance Healthcare Partners for 9 years, and during that time, has worked alongside 3 healthcare startups from it’s portfolio before taking on the role of Sales Director at Peleton. His comfort level within the ever-changing landscape of startups has made him ideal in managing major conversions from industry leaders instruments to newer solutions that dramatically alter bottom-line cost saving while being on the cutting edge of technology.
Rafal Chudzik
Project Engineer
Rafal is an R&D and Operations leader who has pioneered a multitude of novel product designs, manufacturing methodologies and regulatory pathways. His accomplishments include proven R&D product development results in the cardiovascular, peripheral vascular, orthopedic and general surgery markets. He is skilled in bridging the gap between concept to commercialization. He brings extensive experience with Fortune 100 and private equity medical device companies. Rafal holds a BSE in Biomedical Engineering from Arizona State University and is named on numerous issued US and International patents.
David Reed
Project Engineer
David Reed is a vastly experienced design and development engineer who has focused his 40+ year career entirely on creating new medical device technology.
His experience covers not only design and development, but also Manufacturing Techniques, Quality Management System and Regulatory Affairs.
